Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Reuel, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Myruel ("App") handles your information. Myruel is designed as a local-first wellness application for sensitive personal reflection data, while also providing cloud-backed features (like vision boards) that are stored on our servers. By using Myruel, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Data We Store vs. Data We Do Not Store

Myruel is designed so that sensitive wellness/reflection data stays on your device. Separately, vision boards are stored on our servers to power syncing and access across devices.

Data we store on our servers

• Account identifier (email or sign-in provider identifier)
• Vision board data you create (for example: boards, categories, image references/uploads)

Data we do NOT store on our servers

• Journal data
• Period/cycle tracking data
• Affirmation data
• Period reports data

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is created and stored solely on your device:

• Journal entries and notes
• Period and cycle tracking data
• Custom affirmations
• Period reports
• Gratitude prompts and responses
• App preferences and settings

This information is not stored on Reuel, LLC servers.

4. Optional Device Backup

You may choose to back up your data using:

• Google Drive backup (Android system-level backup, depending on device)

These backups are handled entirely by your device provider, not by Reuel, LLC. We do not control or access any data backed up through these systems.

5. Account Information (If Applicable)

Some features may allow optional account creation using:

• Email
• Apple Sign-In
• Google Sign-In

If you choose to create an account:

• We may store only the basic account identifier (email or provider token).
• This information is used solely to authenticate your access.
• It is not linked to your journal or health data.

6. Health Data

Myruel includes period tracking and symptom logging features. We classify this as sensitive personal information, but because of our local-first design, it remains:

• On your device
• Under your control
• Outside of our servers

We never sell, share, or access your health data.

7. Vision Board & Photos

If you upload images to your vision board:

• The App requests permission to access the media library only when you choose an image
• Selected images and related vision board content are uploaded and stored on our servers to provide the vision board feature and syncing

We do not scan or analyze your photos for advertising purposes.

8. Faith-Based Content

Myruel provides optional faith-based affirmations. These do not require or collect any personal data. You can choose to use or ignore this content.

9. Third-Party Services

Myruel may include integrations such as:

• Apple/Google sign-in
• Device backup systems
• App Store or Play Store analytics

These services operate under their own Privacy Policies. We are not responsible for their data practices.

10. Tracking (App Store Definition)

We do not track you. In particular, we do not use your data for "tracking" as defined by Apple (for example, linking user or device data collected in Myruel with user or device data collected from other companies' apps, websites, or offline properties for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, or sharing user or device data with data brokers).

To help put tracking into context, here are examples of practices we do not do:

• Display targeted advertisements in the App based on user data collected from apps and websites owned by other companies
• Share device location data or email lists with a data broker
• Share a list of emails, advertising IDs, or other IDs with a third-party advertising network that uses that information to retarget you in other developers' apps or to find similar users
• Place a third-party SDK in the App that combines user data from Myruel with user data from other developers' apps to target advertising or measure advertising efficiency, even if we do not use the SDK for these purposes

We do not request access to the advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking purposes. If we ever change this, we will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures.

11. Age Requirement

Myruel is intended for users who are 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from users under 16. We verify age during account setup and restrict access to users who do not meet this requirement. If a parent or guardian believes their child is using the App, they may contact us for guidance on device-based data removal.

12. Data Security

Because Myruel stores data locally:

• Your device's security protects your data
• Biometric locks (Face ID, fingerprint) may be available depending on your device
• We recommend enabling a secure device passcode

We cannot protect data on a lost, stolen, or unsecured device.

13. Data Deletion

You may delete your data at any time by:

• Deleting entries within the App
• Clearing App data (Android)
• Deleting the App entirely

Locally stored data (journal, period/cycle tracking, affirmations, and period reports) is removed from your device when you delete it in-app, clear app data, or delete the App. Vision board data is stored on our servers and is removed when you delete it in the App.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. If changes are significant, we will notify you inside the App or through the app store listing. Continued use of Myruel indicates acceptance of the updated Policy.
